  • 1773 — Founded as the Mühendishane-i Bahr-i Hümayun (Imperial School of Naval Engineering) under the Ottoman Empire.
  • 1795 — Expanded as the Mühendishane-i Berrî-i Hümayun (Imperial School of Military Engineering).
  • 1883 — Reorganized and broadened in scope as Hendese-i Mülkiye Mektebi (Civil Engineering School).

The ITU Informatics Institute (İTÜ Bilişim Enstitüsü) is a dedicated graduate school at ITU focused on computing, data, and intelligent systems research. It operates as a cross-disciplinary institute bridging engineering, science, and applied AI.

Admissions
