Welcome to basically AI

Building semi-practical AI technology that helps people build, create, and solve problems.

What We Do

We research, build, and release AI models and datasets focused on semi-practical applications.

• Models — Language, reasoning, coding, and multimodal models
• Datasets — Open datasets for training and evaluating AI systems
• Research — Exploring new approaches to making AI more capable and useful

Our Philosophy

We build AI because it's interesting (And because we want to find alternate architectures).

We believe (potentially) useful AI doesn't have to be enormous, complicated (subjective), or expensive. Sometimes, small and (semi)practical is enough.
