Each zone is one (rootPitch, velocity layer) selected from VSCO's broader
multisample set. The MAESTRO Winds Studio runtime picks the closest zone
to an incoming MIDI note and pitch-shifts via playbackRate. Velocity
layers split at MIDI velocity 63 (soft 0-63 / hard 64-127) for any pitch
that has both a soft + loud recording in the source.
