# Code of Conduct — Saint Errant

Saint Errant is a sovereign digital society. The code of conduct is not a corporate HR document. It is a declaration of what this community is and what it refuses to become.

## What We Are

We are independent. Grassroots. Sovereign.

We are developers who believe intelligence should not be rented from a corporation. We are builders who believe capital should not be gatekept by a bank. We are cypherpunks who believe privacy and cryptographic proof are rights, not features.

We welcome:
- Grassroots independent developers who build for the love of building
- Sovereignty-focused technologists across every background
- UK builders navigating a financial system that was not designed for them
- Observers who want to learn and eventually contribute
- Security researchers who find our bugs and report them

We are in the tradition of **Red Hat** — enterprise-grade, production-ready open source, built by a community and governed by that community. Not a toy project. Not a demo. Infrastructure that runs.

## What We Refuse

**Extractive behaviour** — using the community's knowledge, code, or connections without contributing back.

**Platform capture** — pushing the community toward dependency on Big Tech tools, APIs, or platforms that undermine sovereignty.

**Gatekeeping by credential** — your degree, your employer, your location, your background do not determine your standing here. Your contributions and your verified chain record do.

**Bad faith security** — any use of security research for exploitation rather than disclosure. We run a responsible disclosure policy. Exploit us and we seal it to the chain permanently.

**Harassment** — in any form, in any channel. The Discord is monitored. SENTINEL is always watching.

## The Red Hat Principle

Red Hat proved that open source could be enterprise infrastructure. You didn't have to choose between "free and amateur" and "proprietary and reliable."

Saint Errant applies the same principle to AI sovereignty. You don't have to choose between "local and limited" and "powerful but rented from a corporation."

We build production-grade sovereign infrastructure. In the open. For everyone.

## Enforcement

Violations are handled by the Sovereign Architects in consultation with guild leads.

Minor violations: warning, recorded to member chain entry.
Repeated violations: temporary suspension from channels.
Severe violations: permanent removal, sealed to the WORM chain as a permanent record.

We do not delete records. The chain remembers.

Or DM a Sovereign directly in Discord.

Reports are handled confidentially. The outcome is sealed to the governance chain (without identifying the reporter).
