INT. CABIN - NIGHT

Rain hammers the roof. A WOMAN (40s, alert) reads by a single
guttering candle. Shadows from the rafters move when she does not.

WOMAN
(quietly)
It's only the storm. It's always only the storm.

The candle goes out.

EXT. CABIN PORCH - NIGHT - CONTINUOUS

The woman steps onto the porch holding a relit candle. Wet wind
flattens her hair against her face. She squints into the dark
treeline.

WOMAN (V.O.)
Something out there has been waiting since the world was young.

FADE OUT.
